TaxAssistTM Family of Products

In today’s evolving tax environment, it’s important to stay informed, not only about the legislative changes that affect you and your clients, but also on effective management strategies that improve the structure and operation of your firm to improve its performance in the tax arena. The CICA has developed a number of practical resources that serve both these areas. The CICA’s TaxAssistTM family of products provides Canada’s practitioners with the most up-to-date coverage, through print publications, manuals, guides and tax information databases, on a wide variety of federal and provincial legislation. In addition, publications such as our Tax Practice Manual and our recently released internet-based Practitioners Toolkit, provide users with expert advice on the management of their tax practice to leverage their expertise to the fullest.

TaxAssistTM is your access point for information about these tools that can have a direct impact on your practice, and the practice of tax. This portal has been developed to assist members who are contemplating public practice and those who already run existing small and medium-sized public practices. The portal's Ready-Set-Go-Finish Line framework guides users through a process of reflection and analysis to help understand what's involved in setting up and managing a small practice.

Tax Practice Manual
