The course will provide an initial foundation in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as participants begin their IFRS training. On completion of this course participants will have an introduction to the implementation and the application of the new standards and the impact they will have in their work. The course is not a direct comparison with Canadian GAAP. Although consistencies and differences will be highlighted, the focus is on the standards that are different from Canadian GAAP.
