There is an application fee of $300 plus tax. The annual membership fee for CA-designated IFAs is $350.
Recognition of Specialties in Quebec
Applicants should note that in Québec, government regulations prohibit CAs from describing themselves as specialists. The Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec has initiated discussions to amend these regulations. In the interim, some transitional measures have been developed for Québec CAs who are members of the Alliance for Excellence in Investigative and Forensic Accounting to be licensed as CA-designated investigative and forensic accountant and authorized to use the designation initials CA•IFA, or CA•EJC in French.
