The CA profession is responsible for training, certifying and ensuring the continuing competency of our members in a sophisticated and rapidly changing field that demands significant intellectual ability and professional competence. We also set and evaluate a world-recognized professional examination – the UFE. We work closely with Canadian universities, run our own graduate-level professional education programs, and work closely with accounting bodies around the world in pursuit of our goal of excellence in education. As educators, we are in the forefront of business education. Our competency-based approach now is being adopted in business schools worldwide. Other major competency based CA organizations include the: The CICA is a standard setter for the Canadian qualifications process and supports and participates in the development of international education guidelines and standards.
